Further information | • Where necessary, the large patch should be cut or trimmed to size according to the size and position of the repair to be done. • Apply at ambient temperature, ensuring not to trap air bubbles, touch or otherwise contaminate the adhesive side. • The patch will form a 50% bond immediately it is applied, which does allow you to reposition the patch, if necessary, while taking care not to touch the adhesive or otherwise contaminate it. • It then takes another 24 hours to form a full, permanent bond with the vinyl/PVC at ambient temperature. • Once applied, Tear-Aid Type B will resist temperatures down to -30°C and all the way up to +90°C. • Bonding times can be reduced and the patch transparency increased by gently warming the patch using a heat gun (or a powerful hair dryer). |
